Halloween Leadership Council Meeting + 9-14 Elections!
Young Professional Performers, Ages 9-18 + Parents
WHEN: Wednesday, October 18, 2017 @ 6pm-8pm
WHERE: SAG-AFTRA Building/The Actors Fund (in designated rooms listed below)
5757 Wilshire Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90036
COST: Free! Dinner is included.
PARKING: SAG-AFTRA has generously offered to validate parking for Leadership Council meetings*. Feel free to park in the lot behind our building located at 5757 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles 90036 (entrance at Curson & Wilshire). Please bring your ticket to the Cagney Room (1st Floor) between 6:00-8:00pm for validation. **We will not be able to cover any parking costs so please make sure to validate within the provided time window!**
*Please note that parking validation for the attached lot is available for Leadership Council nights ONLY.

What is Leadership Council?
Leadership Council is a monthly meet-up for all Looking Ahead members and parents where everyone makes new friends, has dinner on us and learns valuable leadership and life skills. We have annual retreats and an end-of-the year party for all Leadership Council members!
Each meeting focuses on a different topic. We discuss topics related to self-esteem, teamwork, managing stress, cultural identity, building friendships, and so much more. Leadership Council parents also meet to listen to industry guest speakers and learn helpful resources to help your family navigate this unique world of entertainment. Meetings take place monthly from September-May. Leadership Council is FREE and dinner is provided at every meeting!
9-14 Representative Elections
Interested in running for ages 9-14 Leadership Council Representative? Let us know and we can forward you the Representative application for your age group. Email Melody at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Leadership Council Representative Duties:
- Attend meetings with other representatives and ages 15-18 Cabinet members periodically throughout the year to help plan events.
- Help give announcements during Leadership Council meetings.
- Welcome new members.
- Help present at Looking Ahead new member Orientations.
- Play a role at the Looking Ahead Awards Gala in December. Gala Info

Parents, please drop off and pick up your children from their designated rooms listed below.
Age 9-11 Leadership Council
Meeting Location: Hollywood Room, Suite 400 (located in our offices on the 4th floor)
Age 12-14 Leadership Council
Meeting Location: Frank Maxwell Board Room (located on the first floor directly across from the security desk in the main lobby)
Senior Leadership Council (Age 15-18)
Meeting Location: Bella Bruck Room(located on the 1st floor, behind the security desk, attached to the Cagney Room)
Meeting Location: SAG-AFTRA Foundation (2nd Floor Mezzanine)
Young Performer Pick-up Policy:
The safety and well-being of our young performers is our highest priority. As such, please note that parents must be present and identified directly by a Looking Ahead Staff member or volunteer before they will be permitted to leave at the conclusion of each Leadership Meeting (8:00pm).
Parents, we strongly encourage and invite you all to hang around after the meetings to chat and get to know the other families in our program but we ask that you please pick up your young performers from their respective meeting locations first before doing so. Additionally, this year the majority of our meeting spaces are being donated by SAG-AFTRA and we want to be courteous of their time and security costs and clear out of the rooms as soon as possible.
